Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, I am a Graphic Artist & Digital Painter currently living in Vancouver, Washington. I am married to an Environmental Scientist and our kids are our pets. I love to travel this big beautiful world we call Earth and I enjoy documenting my journeys through digital photography.

When asked as a child what I wanted to be when I grow up, I always answered the same thing: Artist, Nurse and Veterinarian. I have managed to follow a slightly similar path. I have been an artist all my life and currently art is my full time career. I earned an Associates Degree in Graphic Design and studied Studio Fine arts for several years before this. I interned for a Veterinary magazine, and after college I worked as an Art Director at a Professional Photography Studio and Lab. It was there that I fell in love with Adobe Photoshop and all of its wonders, focusing on; photo retouching and restoration, greeting cards, photo frames for green screen events and more.

 

After this adventure, I took a different path in life and caregiving was my next calling. I was a caregiver and life coach for adults with developmental disabilities for fourteen years. That part of my life is one that I will always cherish. My passion to help others and give back to the community is still just as strong as ever. In 2016, I started Wonder Pawz, www.WonderPawz.com, with a focus on Animal themed artworks and Custom Pet Portraits. I love animals and my pets are my kids. My Animal Artworks celebrate a variety of creatures, colorful landscapes, and warm fuzzy feelings. I have participated in multiple events including Pet Expos, Art Shows, Indie Craft Fairs and even the KC Metaphysical Fair. It is with Wonder Pawz that I have honed my craft of Photo Collage and Compositing along with my Digital Painting skills. I can turn the saddest of cell phone photos of your pet into a grand and majestic tribute of your cherished fur baby!
